I have been watching 2 way morning and evening. I do appreciate hearing the two sides of political and social issues. I am now subscribed to your substack and have found the last three essays enlightening and on point. Although I am a registered Republican, I do not vote a straight ticket. I vote issues and for the character and expertise of the candidates. Thanks for your participation on 2 way and for writing these opinions. Also my compliments to your dentist.
Your visibility into Democratic Party thinking is far beyond mine, but I don’t think the food additive / sugar aspect of MAHA is the piece that democrats have an issue with.
The linkage of vaccines to autism which RFK litigated and profited from and now appears ready to push further in the midst of a Measles outbreak on the other hand is very alarming.
Mixing the two muddies the water.
The Trump admins drastic cuts to research funding are going to set back the search for the cause of autism and other issues considerably, while RFK thinks he already knows the answer based on (from my understanding) discredited science.
All that said, I see the food adjustments as a great thing. Though I think (like other things) it is truly a ‘Nixon goes to China’ situation. If Democrats had suggested we emulate Europes regulations it wouldn’t have gone over well, so I’ll take the win.
I agree about other aspects giving pause and concern. I was def just suggesting the food side. And agree on the Nixon to China analogy. But now that the door is open, step through it!
Thanks for all you do Dan. Love the morning meeting and 2Way tonight. It took me 6 years to foully find all of the additives that my son and I reacted to. Today they are considered by some to be neurotoxins, so I’m thankful for RFK’s MAHA. Pure food is the best thing for us. Thanks again, Bwubs

Thanks for being a voice of reason, Dan. The Democratic party’s demonization of RFK jr has been incredibly unhelpful and unfair in many cases.
Hear! Hear!
