“As an American always rooting for our country, I sure hope that’s the case.”
Grateful for the America Always sentiment as you layout the policy’s risks. IMO, reading and hearing more commentary that includes at least a nod to the benefit of the doubt would moderate our momentum toward the proverbial poles.
I received this email while listening to Punchbowl news Brown Bag Lunch. How is there any way the US will succeed in any arena when with R control they continually bend the knee when bullied with no checks and balances to stabilize approach, policy or results? (What do the Sunday morning mouthpieces REALLY think?)
How will our "allies" ever feel they can ever trust us again? Why would they not develop partnerships which do not include or depend on the US?. Where will that leave us? We are dependent on the world to buy our products, our debt and use us as the global currency.
Another question - with Dan Driscoll's appointment as head of ATF, are there concerns related to the blurring of lines between the military and the Justice Dept enforcement?
Do you see any signs of organization in the D's (or even with in the R's or a coalitions of some sort) that will effectively counterbalance all this?
Dan - I’ve been continually impressed with your thoughtful analysis.
Didn't Trump torpedo an Asian Trade Deal that Obama was working on? Seems that would have been the time to gang up on China
Yup, TPP. The ultimate irony.
There's no question that President Trump could have played this better. We'll see what he can salvage from the mess. China is a real big problem.
